Multiple camera views
GMC and Chevrolet trucks utilize multiple cameras to deliver the most comprehensive view of your truck, trailer, and surroundings. These available cameras pull a maximum of 15 different camera angles including four available hitch views, six available driving views, and five available parking views.
- Hitch views give you a glimpse of the bed, a rear-top down perspective, a surround view of your truck, and a close-up on the hitch. These help minimize frustration and false starts when you're trying to connect your trailer to your truck.
- Driving views include the transparent trailer view (which erases the trailer so you can see what's behind it), a front camera view, pic-in-pic side view, a rear camera mirror that expands the view of a regular rearview mirror, a rear trailer view, and a view inside your trailers so you can check on your cargo.
- Parking views help you maneuver in and out of spots without incident. Views include the rear camera view, rear side view, front side view, and top-down view.
With the available Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, you'll feel safer changing lanes on the highway when you're towing with the Silverado 1500.
In-vehicle and remote monitoring
The available Advanced Trailering System for the Silverado and Sierra modernizes the way you tow by integrating to an In-Vehicle App. This digital system lets you create pre-departure checklists, review maintenance reminders and check the pressure and temperature of your trailer's tires and lights. The app also includes available features such as Trailer Theft Detection and Tow/Haul Reminder so you won't forget to select the right towing mode.
The available ProGradeâ„¢ Trailering System may inspire you to head out on RV or ATV adventures more often. The infotainment system in your truck holds all your entertainment options and syncs your smartphone. Plus, it integrates with the available ProGradeâ„¢ Trailering System, which is connected to an in-vehicle trailering app that you can view on your smartphone through the myGMC mobile app. Just like the available trailering system for select Silverado models, the available ProGradeâ„¢ Trailering System holds trailer profiles, trailer light test, pre-departure checklists, and up to 15 camera views.
When you're towing a properly equipped RV, the available Smart Trailer feature on the Sierra 1500 and Sierra HD models gives you remote access to your RV's functions. You can check the levels of your RV's water tank, manipulate HVAC temperature and controls, and activate power slide-out functions.
